The Aspen Science Center offers a series of summer camp sessions designed specifically for children 3-13 years of age. Days will be packed full of fun and educational activities such as swimming, ice skating, rock climbing, hiking, arts & crafts, group activities, mindfulness exercises, and much more! * As of January 1, 2022, all children must be locally enrolled in school in the Roaring Fork Valley to attend* This summer, the Aspen Art Museum will offer the two on-site workshops listed below, and four additional off-site workshops in collaboration with ACES. Aspen Film partners with the Colorado Film School to provide experienced, bi-lingual (Spanish/English) educators to teach the camps. During this week-long camp, with the guidance of professional filmmakers and teaching artists, students will collaborate with each other and gain valuable hands-on experience as they craft individual fairytale stories through many styles of Stop Motion: Pixilation, Cut Out Animation, Object Motion, Claymation, and 2D Computer Generated Imagery. Ajax Adventure Camp is not your typical kids camp. From June through August, they offer fun and educational kids' camps at Hallam Lake in Aspen and Rock Bottom Ranch in Basalt.
